Rose leads Titans to victory in Memphis

MEMPHIS – Brady Rose scored eight unanswered points after Illinois Wesleyan’s lead had been trimmed to three midway through the second half as the Titans pulled away to an 80-59 win over Millsaps in the Rhodes Thanksgiving Classic at Mallory Gymnasium.

Rose’s left-handed layup and three-point play with 8:36 remaining triggered a 13-0 run for IWU. Rose led with Titans with 20 points. Alex O’Neill finished with 12 points. Jaylen Beasley posted 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds. The Majors (1-3), an undersized team with 16 underclassmen, stayed in the game by limiting the Titans to just 4-for-18 three-point shooting in the second half and 9-for-29 for the game.
