Titans struggle in their first game of the Emory Classic

ALANTA, GA. – Emory University (7-2) outscored the Illinois Wesleyan Titans (8-3) in the second half as the Titans fell 72-56 in the Emory Classic.

After the lowest scoring first half this season, Emory lead the Titans by 16 with 2:01 left in the first half outscoring the Titans 32-26.

The Titans clawed their way back in the second half, retaking the lead backed behind senior Brady Rose who scored 16 points and two assists in the loss.

Emory’s defense shut the Titans down in the second half outscoring the Titans 40-30, handing the Titans their first loss in the Emory Classic Tournament.

The Titans will take on Birmingham-Southern College Friday at 1 p.m. AM 1230 WJBC and WJBC.com will have pregame starting at 12:30 p.m.
