PONTIAC – Pontiac football coach Casey ‘Buck’ Casson has resigned.
He coached the Indians to a 26-22 mark in five seasons and led PTHS to the playoffs three times.
The District 90 Board of Education approved Casson’s resignation at its regular board meeting on Monday.
“We wished he would have stayed in that position,” Superintendent Jon Kilgore told WJEZ Radio. “He’s got some things he had committed to and expected and at this point decided he is going to step back.”
Kilgore said Casson will continue to teach at the school and serve on Pontiac baseball’s coaching staff.
