NORMAL – Illinois State men’s basketball is headed to the Cayman Islands south of Cuba in November.

The Redbirds will join seven other teams in the second annual Cayman Islands Classic scheduled for November 19-21. Tournament organizers announced the field today Tuesday.

NCAA tournament qualifiers from last season Clemson, Creighton, Georgia State and Saint Bonaventure are in the field, joined by NIT entry Boise State, Georgia with new coach Tom Crean, and Akron. Brackets will be announced later.
