Stacey Williams
Anastasia “Stacey” Renee Williams, 39, of Bloomington, passed away at 5:30 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2018 at her home.
A private family funeral will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington with Rev. Vaughn Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Funks Grove Cemetery. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the David and Aubrey Williams Benefit Fund c/o Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home.
Stacey was born Dec. 31, 1978 in Pekin, Ill. She married David J. Williams on Nov. 15, 2003 in Bloomington.
She is survived by her husband Dave Williams and their two children, David Michael Williams and Aubrey Grace Williams, her parents, Greg and Diane Yount; her sisters, Shelley Dover and family, Sarah Eich and family; her grandparents, Joyce Thompson and Bruce and Ethlyn Yount; David’s parents, David and Kay Williams; and several devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Stacey was preceded in death by her biological father, Michael Christopher Dietsch, her paternal grandfather, Robert Dietsch, her good friend and cousin, McKenzie Diane Dietsch, and her maternal grandparents, Wendell and Louise Learned.
Stacey graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing and worked as a nurse for 15 years.
Stacey was an avid reader, amazing baker, talented cross stitcher and devoted nurse. She took pride in the way she took care of her patients. Above all else she was a compassionate, kind hearted and loving person. She shared these traits in many ways, from mission trips with her church to Central America to the ways she cared for her family and friends. She was always there for the people she loved.
Stacey was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and served many years on the Board of Wesley Bright Beginnings.
