The Children’s Discovery Museum receives art grant for grade school kids

NORMAL – The Children’s Discovery Museum has been awarded the Mirza Arts and Culture grant from the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation.

The grant funds the museum’s Art Around You: Exploring Contemporary Art in the Community program.

The museum is working with Illinois State University Galleries to offer a free art viewing workshops for second through fifth graders.

The workshops will run once a month starting in August until May of 2019.
