BLOOMINGTON – A Saybrook man is in the McLean County Jail following a home invasion in Anchor over the weekend.
Derek Roesch, 22, allegedly broke into the house in the 400 block of Second Street in Anchor.
According to First Assistant State’s Attorney Brad Rigdon, Roesch appeared in McLean County court this afternoon and was charged with home invasion, possession of methamphetamine, battery, aggravated assault, trespass to residence, unlawful use of a weapon, and possession of cannabis.
State’s Attorney Jason Chambers said Roesch is being held in the McLean County Jail with a $100,000 bond.
The McLean County Sheriff’s Department noted there was also damage to the house’s front screen door, valued at approximately $250, and damage to an exterior door, valued at $450.
Chambers noted there is another alleged suspect in the case, a female, who has not been identified at this time.
