Patricia Hill
Patricia Ann Hill, nee Williamson, 75, of Danvers, born October 31, 1942, in Bloomington, died Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal. Cancer destroyed her body, but nothing could destroy her soul.
Pat married her beloved Wesley E. Hill on May 14, 1965 at West Twin Grove Church in Bloomington. They have three children, Pamela (Peter) Opperman, Rodney (Kim) Hill, and Jesse (Karen) Hill, and 10 grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Dillon, and Daniel Opperman; Trevor, Marissa, and Emmi Hill; and Reid, Parker, and Avery Hill.
Mrs. Hill was a faithful and active member of East White Oak Bible Church in Carlock. She was a farmer’s wife and lifelong homemaker. She was active in her community and known to lend a helping hand in her loving yet modest way. She enjoyed traveling the country with her husband to witness nature’s wonders.
Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Florence (Zink) Williamson, two brothers, Kenneth and Dwight, and a sister, June. She is survived by her husband Wes, brother John, children, and grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to East White Oak Bible Missions, Samaritan’s Purse, or Rosewood Cemetery in Bloomington.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at BroMenn, Dr. Sriratana, and the staff at the Community Cancer Center in Normal, Ill. for their kindness and care of our loved one.
Pat’s visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. Her service will be on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. at East White Oak Bible Church, Carlock with Pastor Scott Boerckel officiating.
A private burial at Rosewood Cemetery at West Twin Grove Church will precede her Celebration of Life service.

Carolyn Kaufman
Carolyn Metcalf Schertz Kaufman, 92 of Danvers, entered her heavenly home on June 23, 2018.
Carolyn was born January 15, 1926 in Danvers to Ransom and Caroline Deal Schertz.
She was a farmer’s wife on her and her husband Robert’s centennial farm west of Danvers. She was the church choir director at the Presbyterian Church for a number of years, a member of Dry Grove Thimble Club and a talented upholsterer, seamstress and a great cook.
She attended U of I in music and was a vocalist for many special events from weddings to funerals. Carolyn and her husband Robert enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Texas with many friends. She was a very loving and attending wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 72 years, Robert C. Kaufman; son, Rick (Karen) Kaufman, Danvers; daughter, Suzann (Tom) Walsh, Danvers; daughter, Jo Ellen (Mark) Fiorentini, Utica, eight grandchildren, James, Tara (David) Bentley, Tom Walsh, Tim Walsh, Tami (Scott) Jones, Tricia (Curtis) Griffin, Christopher Fiorentini, Alicia Fiorentini, six great grandchildren, Dylan Kaufman, Devyn Bentley, Karley and Wiley Jones, Chloe and Carter Griffin and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, Jonathon and Shane Kaufman, one granddaughter Traci Walsh, two brothers and three sisters.
The immediate family has gathered for a celebration of life and services will be held at a later date.
Memorials can be made in her name to a charity of the donor’s choice.
