Shelves at CVS, Walgreens, Dollar General, Family Dollar and other stores are being cleared of nasal sprays and baby oral gel after the products were recalled because of possible contamination.

The manufacturer, Product Quest Manufacturing, found microbial contamination in its CVS Health 12 Hour Sinus Relief Nasal Mist.

While the company said it hasn’t found evidence of contamination in other products it voluntarily expanded the recall “out of an abundance of caution.”

All the products in the recall were made at the company’s Florida plant, including nasal mists, sprays, and gels.

No problems have been reported related to the recall but using a contaminated nasal spray or other nasal product repeatedly could lead to an infection that could be life-threatening for certain people, including those with cystic fibrosis or with weaker immunity.

A full list of products with lot numbers and expiration dates involved in the recall is available here .

Consumers should stop using the products immediately and can return them to the store where they were purchased.

Pritzker, recall another Illinois Governor who protested the incursion of armed federal personnel into the city.   Those federal troops, rather than calming, escalated the situation, leading to deaths and violence. In these troubled times, to my fellow white Americans

By Mike Matejka Our nation is at a unique watershed in human relations. African-Americans have been killed too many times in the past before George Floyd, but the response to this man’s death is international and all-encompassing. I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
