BLOOMINGTON – A Macon County man is being blamed for causing a car-moped crash between Bloomington and Heyworth that injured two people, one of them seriously.
Illinois State Police ticketed Bradley Skelley, 19, of Oakley with failing to reduce speed and improper lane usage for an accident that happened about 7:10 p.m. Monday on Route 51.
Police said Skelley was northbound on 51, changed lanes to pass a motorcycle, and struck the back of a moped.
State Police did not release information about the injured people, although witnesses said a LifeFlight helicopter took one person to a hospital.
