BLOOMINGTON – A masked gunman was said to be one of two intruders who committed a home invasion Thursday morning on Bloomington’s southeast side.
The break-in happened about 9:25 a.m. in an apartment at 716 Arcadia Dr.
On their Facebook page, Bloomington Police said the suspects are two masked black men, wearing all black, and both about 18 to 20 years old.
Investigators say they knocked on the door, pushed the resident to the ground, and demanded money. One of the suspects allegedly pointed a gun at the resident before the two ran away.
Police received information that the two might have been walking in the neighborhood the day before.
Authorities are asking tips to help solve the case. They’re asking anyone with information to call Bloomington Police Det. Jared Bierbaum at 309-434-2807 or the department’s main line at 309-820-8888. Tips from people wishing to remain anonymous can be called into McLean County Crime Stoppers at 309-828-1111.
