BLOOMINGTON – The victim of a shooting in northwest Bloomington Tuesday night has been identified.
McLean County Coroner Kathy Davis has identified Trevonte D. Kirkwood, 27, of Bloomington.
An autopsy was performed by a forensic pathologist Wednesday and the cause of death is multiple gunshot wounds.
The shooting happened in the 1300 block of North Oak Street. Kirkwood was taken to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center where he died.
Additional details regarding this incident are not being disclosed at this time as investigation of the homicide continues.
