NORMAL – Normal Police said someone stabbed a teenager in the back Saturday during a fight at Anderson Park on East College Avenue in Normal.

A police sergeant said the 16-year old boy was alert and talking when Normal rescue crews took him to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center shortly before five o’clock Saturday afternoon.

The boy’s condition is not known. He’s believed to have suffered a single stab wound to the back, but police don’t think his injuries are life threatening.

Detectives were conducting interviews, but there have been no arrests, and investigators have not recovered a weapon.
