Twin Cities’ experienced three armed robberies in less than a week

BLOOMINGTON – Police in the Twin Cities’ are investigating two out of three armed robberies that occurred over the weekend.

Bloomington Police responded to the Freedom Oil Gas Station at 1331 Linden Street Saturday night. Police said a masked male suspect entered the gas station and pointed a pistol at the cashier.

The suspect fled with over $350 in cash and is being described as a black male, 6 feet tall, and in his early 20s.

No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing.

On Sunday, BPD arrested Calvin and Mary Harris for an armed robbery at the Casey’s General Store on Fox Creek Road.

Normal Police are investigating an armed robbery from Friday at the Dollar General Store on South Cottage Avenue. An undisclosed amount of money was taken and the suspect is described as a black male, standing around 5-foot-9 with dreadlocks and a goatee.
