EUREKA – Woodford County Sheriff’s Police believe they’ve solved a series of burglaries to mini-storage units in the county and elsewhere with the arrest of an East Peoria man.

Police arrested Britt Craig, 34, on Monday and executed a search warrant the following day at 221 Crescent Ave. in East Peoria.

During the search, police said they discovered hundreds of stolen items from break-ins to mini-storage units throughout the area.

Police booked Craig for theft over $500, and he’s expected to face more charges. Craig’s bond is $60,000.

Police are encouraging anyone with mini-storage units to check their belongings, and contact the Woodford County Sheriff’s Department if they’re missing any items. Victims outside of Woodford County are asked to contact their local law enforcement agency.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
