BLOOMINGTON – A man told Bloomington Police two teenagers robbed him at gunpoint Thursday night.
Police said the Twin-Cities latest armed robbery happened a little before 8:15 p.m. as the man was walking near Main Street and Virginia Avenue, which is near the border between Bloomington and Normal.
The victim was not hurt, and he went to a nearby business to call police.
The robbers, one white and the other black, were between 5’6″ and 5′ 8” tall.
The white teenager was said to have brown hair and was wearing a red hoodie and black jeans.
The black teen was said to have black “poofy” hair, and a short goatee. Police said he was wearing a black hoodie with white letters, and was armed with a white and black handgun.
Police said the hold-up did not appear to be connected to armed robberies that happened just minutes apart on Wednesday night at Little Caesars Pizza at 2507 E. Oakland Ave. and CVS Pharmacy at 1130 S. Veterans Pkwy.
Anyone with information is asked to call Bloomington Police or McLean County Crime Stoppers.
Since December 14, there have been seven other armed robberies in the Twin-Cities, all to local businesses. Police made two arrests in one of those cases. The other robberies remain unsolved.
