WOODFORD COUNTY – Icy roads may have been a factor in a Wednesday morning head-on crash in Woodford County that killed one of the drivers.

The two-vehicle accident happened about 7 a.m. on County Road 2, just west of Minonk.

Woodford County authorities said the woman, 45, was taken to a Twin-Cities hospital where she died.

McLean County Coroner Kathy Davis has yet to release the victim’s name. Davis said there will be an autopsy to determine what caused the woman’s death.

The driver of the other vehicle was injured and taken to an area hospital. Her condition is not available.

The coroner and Woodford County Sheriff’s Police are investigating the accident.
