UPDATE: Name of woman released in head-on crash near Minonk

WOODFORD COUNTY – A Washburn woman was killed Wednesday morning in a head-on collision near Minonk.

The Woodford County Sheriff’s Office said Melanie Schubert, 45, was pronounced dead at OSF ST. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

A release from the sheriff’s office said preliminary autopsy results show Schubert died of multiple blunt force injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was transported to OSF St. Francis in Peoria.  Her injuries are still unknown.

The McLean County Coroner’s Office along with the Woodford County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the crash.
