BPD: Shots fired early Saturday near downtown

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police reported shots fired early Saturday near the downtown area.

Police responded around 6 a.m. to the 700 block of East Market Street. WJBC’s Howard Packowitz was on the scene and said crime scene tape was marked between the 703-705 addresses.

No injuries were reported and officers have asked people to avoid the area as the investigation is ongoing.
