BLOOMINGTON – A suspected rapist from Bloomington faces additional charges for allegedly raping a second women.
A judge set bond for Matthew Price at $500,000, meaning Price has to post $50,000 to be released from the McLean County Jail.
Prosecutors initially charged Price, 32, with sexually assaulting a woman in Bloomington on Dec. 10. The latest charges allege Price raped another woman five days earlier.
In both cases, Price allegedly met the women at local bars, and later raped them at area residences. Both women reportedly struggled with Price during the assaults. One of the women is older than 60, which makes Price eligible for an extended prison sentence if he’s found guilty.
Anyone with information concerning this investigation or who may have had contact with Price is asked to contact Normal Police Detective Jake Zabukovec at 309-454-9627, Bloomington Police Detective Curt Maas at 309-434-2534, or McLean County Crime Stoppers at 309-828-1111.
