PEORIA – A reputed member of the Bomb Squad street gang from Peoria told a federal judge Thursday he’s been tied to gang activity since he was 13.
Known as “Lil Man,” and now 23, Terry Moss faces a possible life in prison sentence for his guilty plea to various crimes, including attempted murder.
Moss admitted shooting at rival gang members to protect Bomb Squad territory, wounding one of them in the foot.
Moss told the judge he sold and helped others sell crack cocaine and other narcotics. Moss also admitted he was in possession of guns, holding some firearms for others, and loaning them to gang members or associates.
He was one of 15 men charged last June in the federal racketeering conspiracy. The co-defendants are scheduled to stand trial June 10. Moss is due in court again August 8 for sentencing.
