Three men in custody after Bloomington shots fired incident

BLOOMINGTON – Three Bloomington men have been taken into custody for mob action in connection to a shots fired incident on Tuesday.

Police responded at 1:26 p.m. Tuesday for reports of shots fired in the 800 block of East Washington Street. Authorities said several people fled the scene on foot and identified two adult victims, numerous witnesses and physical evidence that a shooting happened.

Police tracked the suspects and obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 700 block of East Jefferson Street. Officers arrested Derrell Hibbler, 21, Lardarius Carroll, 21, and Tiquan Hamer, 23.

During the search, police found a firearm and ammunition. The three men are being held in McLean County Jail as they face charges for felony mob action.

Nobody was injured and Bloomington Police said they are still investigating.
