The corruption case of former Illinois Congressman Aaron Schock has taken an interesting turn.
The disgraced Peoria representative was headed to court Wednesday morning for what was supposed to be a normal status hearing before his June tenth trial date
But ABC 7 in Chicago is reporting that the government could reduce some of the 22 felonies against Schock to misdemeanors and other charges against him may be dropped giving Schock an escape and even a chance that he could return to politics.
Schock resigned his Peoria Congressional seat in 2015 after he was accused of misspending campaign funds on lavish personal expenses.
