Uptown streets closed for Sharin’ of the Green parade

As the streets of Uptown Normal are taken over by parade watchers and participants Saturday there are some street closings to let you know about.

There will be no parking on several streets after 10 a-m and the same streets will be closed to traffic after eleven a-m –

  • South School Street from College Avenue to North Street
  • North Street from South School Street to Uptown Circle
  • Fell Avenue at the intersection of Fell Avenue and North Street
  • Broadway Avenue at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and North Street
  • Constitution Boulevard
  • Uptown Circle
  • East Beaufort Street from Uptown Circle to Linden Street
  • Linden Street’s southbound right turn lane from College Ave. to Beaufort St.
  • Constitution Trail from Linden Ave. to College Ave.

During the parade – parking will be free in the College Avenue parking deck and in the ISU parking deck at the corner of South School Street and West Beaufort.

The Sharin’ of the Green parade is scheduled from one p-m until three.
