NORMAL – One person was killed after a motorcycle crash in northeast Normal.

Normal Police Chief Rick Bleichner said the crash happened on Pipeline Road, just north of I-55, at 1:42 p.m. Thursday. Witness reports indicate the motorcycle was travelling north on Pipeline Road when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

The male driver was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead.  McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder has yet to release the victims name.

Police blocked the northbound lanes of Pipeline Road for about a quarter mile, between I-55 and Northtown Road while an accident reconstructionist worked the scene.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
