BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police confirmed two people were wounded, but they’re releasing few other details about a shooting that happened Tuesday afternoon in the Highland Hills apartment complex on the city’s southwest side.
Apparently there have been no arrests, and the two people who were wounded suffered non-life threatening injuries.
A witness said some people in a beige Impala were arguing, and he heard a shot go off about 2:15 p.m. in the 1700 block of Springfield Road.
“There was a female involved. I heard her yelling, ‘get help, get help!”‘
The witness went on to say, “One of the other maintenance staff that works here called 911. The person that was shot and whoever she was with, they all took off out of the parking lot.”
The injured people were taken by car to a local hospital, although it’s not known if they’re still being treated.
A Bloomington Police sergeant said detectives were still investigating the shooting late Tuesday night.
