HUDSON – A McLean County Highway Department employee apparently died by electrocution in rural Hudson Wednesday, according to Coroner Kathy Yoder.
Yoder pronounced Scott Bundy, 41, of Bloomington, dead around 11 a.m. at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center.
A second worker was involved in the incident and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
McLean County Administrator Camille Rodriguez said supportive services are being offered to all highway department workers.
“Scott Bundy was a long-time employee and a valuable member of that team. He will be greatly missed,” said Rodriguez in a news release.
The release said McLean County is cooperating with the Illinois Department of Labor OHSA Division’s investigation.
