NORMAL – A female student at Illinois State University claims another student sexual assaulted her in his dorm room, according to a Wednesday evening crime advisory sent out by the school’s police department.
ISU Police said the alleged assault happened about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in Wilkins Hall after the suspect persuaded the young woman to come to his room.
Until then, police said the two had known each other only through social media, but he remained persistent until she finally agreed to meet him in person.
Police are not releasing other information, but they said they’re actively investigating the case.
