Single-vehicle accident claims life of Odell man

ODELL – A fatal Christmas Eve accident has claimed the life of a 51-year-old Odell man.

Livingston County Coroner Danny Watson said just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, the driver of an ’01 Oldsmobile was thrown from the car after it ran off the road and rolled over into a field.

According to our news partner Heart of Illinois ABC, the accident occurred at 25418 East and 2400 North Road in Union Township.

An autopsy has been ordered. The driver was the only person in the vehicle.

The identify of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
