BLOOMINGTON – Home Sweet Home Ministries, in partnership with Trinity Lutheran Church, has released the results from the fourth annual Night in a Car.

Over 100 participants helped raise $69,000 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington.

Night In A Car is a homeless simulation in which participants live out of their cars during the overnight hours.

“Individuals, Families, churches, and businesses, supported by over 500 donations, experienced a unique glimpse into homelessness,” Home Sweet Home Ministries said in a news release. “The event was enhanced by the addition of an escape room that was constructed by volunteers and staffed by individuals who have experienced homelessness.”

Home Sweet Home Ministries said next year’s Night in a Car will take place on Feb. 5, 2021.

African-Americans have been killed too many times in the past before George Floyd, but the response to this man’s death is international and all-encompassing. I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
