BLOOMINGTON – As Coronavirus or COVID-19 spreads across the country, the ripple effects of the disease are hitting closer and closer to home.
A major study abroad trip for Bloomington Normal students now cancelled because of it.

The Junior Ambassador program between Bloomington and Asahikawa, Japan happens each June.
Fifteen McLean county students ranging from 7th to 10th grade were set to take the trip. They would swap lives with Japanese students to be completely immersed in the other’s culture.
