LEROY – LeRoy Police need your help finding the person who robbed a gun store Saturday morning.
Our news partner Heart of Illinois ABC reports the department posted screenshots from the surveillance video to their Facebook Page, showing the suspect tossing an item through the door of Guns and Glory located on E. Center Street, and shattering the glass.
The person proceeded to burst through the rest of the glass and into the front of the shop, clearing the nearest shelf of merchandise and stuffing anything that would fit, in a bag.
The entire robbery lasts roughly thirty seconds, before the hooded suspect, wearing an ‘8’ on his back, pants with a two stripes down the side and dark shoes, takes off running and disappears from the camera’s view.
LeRoy Police said they were not prepared to confirm whether it was money, weapons, or any other specific items that were taken.
They did however share that officers noticed a Grey SUV or Crossover in the area at the time.
Anyone with information regarding the crime is asked to call LeRoy police.
