McLean County Law and Justice Center announce new restrictions to prevent COVID-19

BLOOMINGTON – To protect individuals from spreading COVID-19, Chief Judge Mark Fellheimer has announced new public restrictions at the McLean County Law and Justice Center.

“We continue to regularly monitor the situation involving COVID-19 and will evaluate and update our policies and procedures accordingly,” said Chief Judge Fellheimer in a news release. “The health and welfare of all employees and the public is our paramount concern.”

The following restrictions are in place until April 10:

  • Canceled all courthouse school tours.
  • Canceled training or education seminars and a meeting involving large groups of outside participants.
  •  Marriage and civil union ceremonies for anyone obtaining a marriage or civil union license on or after March 12 will be limited to the participants and no more than four guests.
  • Implemented a plan for Probation and Court Services to limit in-person contacts.
