BLOOMINGTON – The Chief Judge for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Courts has ordered only specific cases will be heard in light of concerns over the coronavirus.
The district which consists of McLean, Ford, Livingston, Logan, and Woodford counties, will only hear cases of criminal felonies, juvenile abuse/neglect, juvenile delinquency cases, petitions to rescind summary suspensions and any other emergency hearings as they arise, according to our news partner Heart of Illinois ABC.
Chief Judge Mark Fellheimer wrote in his statement, “If you do not have a case in one of these categories, please do not come to court.”
Fellheimer added an order with specific details will be published Monday which will include the process of notifying litigants of a future date.
If you have any questions you are urged to check the Illinois Supreme Court website for additional procedures as to the Eleventh Circuit after March 16.
