BLOOMINGTON – In response to Governor JB Pritzker’s executive order issued yesterday, State Representative Dan Brady answered questions at Shooters Lounge in Bloomington. Brady and both Twin City mayors, Tari Renner of Bloomington and Chris Koos of Normal, also attended the Q&A session.
The restaurant closure order issued by Governor Pritzker still allows carry out, drive through and delivery services to continue.
Brady stated that if restaurants and bars do not comply, “more trouble will come than good.” As for who will be enforcing this, the state representative said that will either be for the public health department or possibly “from the law enforcement side.”
Mayor Renner said he will not issue any fines for the time being until he receives more information.
“Until unless I hear specifically that I have to enforce something in a specific way, I’m not enforcing it,” said Renner.
Koos echoed Renner’s comments.
