Coronavirus cases in McLean County up to 8

BLOOMINGTON – There are now eight cases of coronavirus in McLean County.

The McLean County Health Department on Monday said the new case is a woman in her 60s with underlying medical conditions.  The MCHD said the woman is hospitalized in isolation in good condition.  Information about coronavirus in McLean County can be found here.

The health department on Sunday announced a woman in her 70s died from the virus. Local health officials said there are 48 pending test results and about 90 McLean County residents who have been tested for the virus.

The Illinois Department of Public Health on Monday reported 236 new cases, bringing the state total 1,285. Health officials said there were three deaths in Cook County; two men in their 80s and a man in his 90s.
