NORMAL – Illinois State University is addressing “disruptive, bigoted, and hateful” comments that have been typed and spoken during online classes.
ISU says reports are circulating about these types of incidents being performed by persons not affiliated with the university at institutions across the country.
Some online classes may have been recently disrupted by hateful or bigoted activity. Reports suggest these are caused by persons outside the University. We are working on preventing future incidents. Contact the Dean of Students office to report incidents https://t.co/2SBceUWquZ

ISU says this despicable behavior runs counter to the core values of the university. The school says it is working to provide guidance and systems to help prevent future incidents.
