BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Health Department announced an additional COVID-19 case Friday, now bringing the total to double digits.
McLean County’s 10th case is a woman in her 80s who is currently hospitalized in the ICU, according to the MCHD. Earlier Friday, the MCHD announced the county’s 9th case, a woman in her 60s who is currently hospitalized in the ICU.
According to data as of Friday, around 150 people have been tested in McLean County, 104 tests have been negative, and 37 test results are still pending. There has been one McLean County death.
Meanwhile, public health officials announced a drive-thru testing site for COVID-19 in McLean County. The site is located at the McLean County Fairgrounds and will open Saturday. Testing is prioritized for healthcare workers, first responders, people older than 65, and patients with underlying health conditions. The testing site will be operated by the Illinois Department of Public Health, Illinois National Guard, and state and local emergency management officials.
