BLOOMINGTON – The leader of the Bloomington Police Department is asking the community to help other local agencies during the pandemic.
Chief Dan Donath put out a video message Tuesday on social media. He says both BPD and Bloomington Fire have received lots of offers from the public to donate food to both departments. Donath says this is an extremely kind gesture, but there are other local agencies that truly need the help.
In particular, local hospitals need supplies like N95 masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer.
Meanwhile, Donath says everyone at BPD is working, that includes officers, detectives, dispatchers and support staff.
