BLOOMINGTON – The local farmers market has moved to an online and curbside service due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Downtown Bloomington Farmers’ Market will be open Saturday at Grossinger Motors Arena, but for pickup only.
“Economic development director Melissa Hahn and Catherine Dunlap, who oversees the farmers market, confirmed that we can have it,” said Bloomington City Manager Tim Gleason. “Several farmers are prepping to sell their goods and I think we have sales already in excess of $10,000.”
To purchase products, orders must be placed online before noon Thursday. A link to order is here.
Order pickup will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. outside Grossinger Motors Arena on Lee Street. People are asked to stay in their cars to practice social distancing. No on-site orders will be taken.
