BLOOMINGTON – A coronavirus antibody and nasal swab testing site opened on Monday, furthering the effort to flatten the curve in Central Illinois.

The testing site, located at the Sports Enhancement Center at 2406 East Empire Street in Bloomington, is tentatively opened from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays, with shortened hours on the weekend.

According to a statement, Dr. Tom Pliura says that antibody testing is desired by many, as it shows whether they have had the illness in the past, or might have immunity.

The COVID-19 testing site at the Interstate Center will close on Friday.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
