CLINTON – Several fire departments around the area were called Tuesday morning to a church fire in Clinton.
The blaze broke out around 8:30 a.m. at the Assembly of God, located at 801 South Mulberry Street.
Flames could be seen coming out of the roof and in the basement of the church.
Firefighters on the scene said there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Fire crews that responded to the scene included Clinton, Kenney, Decatur, Farmer City, Argenta-Oreana, Weldon, Warrensburg, Maroa, Mt. Pulaski, Randolph Township, Lincoln and Bloomington.
Fire investigators are expected to release more information later Tuesday.
