BLOOMINGTON – A Twin-Cities man faces a long prison sentence after a jury on Wednesday found him guilty of a home invasion in Bloomington a year ago.
Jurors deliberated less than an hour before finding Lorenzo Aken, 21, of Bloomington guilty of committing a home invasion with a firearm on June 4, 2019.
He was one of two men arrested for breaking into an apartment in the 700 block of Salem Road, and striking the male victim with a gun.
McLean County prosecutors said Aken faces 21 to 45 years in prison when he’s sentenced in September, and the law requires him to serve 85% of the sentence.
Co-defendant Teon Williams, 21, of Bloomington pleaded guilty in February and was sentenced to 18 years in prison.
