Police probe theft at Bloomington pawn shop

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington police are asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects who stole multiple gold coins from a pawn shop.

Police said the incident happened Aug. 31. Officers learned that two suspects entered the shop and asked to see a variety of gold and silver items. During negotiations to buy the items the dexterous women were able to steal multiple gold coins, according to BPD.

The suspects were described as follows:
  • Hispanic woman in her 20’s, approx. 5’4″, medium build, with very light-colored braided wearing a Covid mask and a ball cap.
  • Hispanic female in her 50’s, approx. 5’4″, large build, light brown hair, wearing a Covid mask and a ball cap.
