Downtown Bloomington Farmers’ Market lives on despite pandemic

BLOOMINGTON – Local farmers and vendors weren’t going to let a pandemic put a damper on fall tradition at the Downtown Bloomington Farmers’ Market.

Fresh produce and plenty of pumpkins lined the square of Downtown Bloomington along with several other vendors selling homemade goods.

The pandemic has made it a lot different with social distancing, mask requirements, and limited interaction between customers and vendors.

Larry Fink, from Destiny Meats said it’s impacted some of fun atmosphere as well.

“Usually they have an entertainment section set up, they have a band, going this place is packed. COVID has sent a lot of people home. We still do okay, but COVID has definitely had a major impact.” said Fink
