BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Fire Crews are cleaning up from a fire on the 600 block of E Jefferson.
The call came in just before 2:20 PM from a neighbor who saw smoke.
Two of the five units were damaged from the fire.
Crews were able to knock down the fire quickly saving the other three units whose tenants only reported smoke damage.
Damage to the siding of the adjacent home was also reported.
Thankfully no injuries were reported and 4 tenants were aided by the American Red Cross.
The fire department said this is an important reminder that smoke alarms save lives.
