Police: LeRoy man arrested for grooming and solicitation of minor

LEROY – LeRoy Police arrested a 33-year-old man Tuesday for grooming, indecent solicitation of a minor, and obstruction of justice.

Brandon Reynolds of LeRoy is being held at the McLean County jail pending a bond hearing on the felony charges, according to police.

A teacher at LeRoy High School has been placed on paid administrate leave after school officials recently became aware of allegations of inappropriate electronic communication with a student, according to a news release Tuesday from the LeRoy Community Unit School District #2. The district’s release does not specifically name Reynolds as the teacher.

The district said its investigating the allegations and working with local law enforcement and the Department of Children and Family in their ongoing investigation.
