Governor’s office announces possible COVID-19 exposure

CHICAGO – Gov. JB Pritzker’s office Friday afternoon was notified of a recent exposure to COVID-19.

As a result of the possible exposure, the office is currently conducting contact tracing and following all necessary health protocols from the Illinois Department of Public Health, according to a news release.

The exposure was the result of an external meeting with Gov. Pritzker that took place on Monday in a large conference room in the governor’s office.

Pritzker’s office said he was tested Friday and his results will be made public when available. He is currently isolating pending his test results.
