SPRINGFIELD – The Pritzker administration is trying to lower the expectations of any Illinoisan who believes he or she will get the coronavirus vaccine super fast.

“Regardless of how many doses we do receive,” said public health director Dr. Ngozi Ezike, “IDPH will be tracking shipments, allocations, and the data to detect any disparities in administration. Allocation of these vaccines will be sent initially to the fifty counties that have the highest death rate per capita.”
McLean county is not one of those fifty.
The state Friday reported 10,526 new coronavirus cases and another 148 deaths.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
