HUDSON- Fans of Green Gables in Hudson have just a few days to get their burger fix as the restaurant announced Wednesday it will close temporarily.

In a Facebook post, the family owned establishment said the winter months are slow and curbside service isn’t enough to keep the doors open.

Once Tier 3 mitigations are lifted and indoor dining is allowed, the grill will fire back up and the next generation will take over operations.

In the meantime, they’re still going to be open this weekend with the temporary closing starting on December 28.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
